Dev_Log06: The New Wave


We have started working on the spawn patern of the zombies, eatch wave zombies will spawn  and walk towards the treehouse. It is the players job to kill all the zombies. when all the zombies of 1 wave are death the players get some downtime to make some purchases and relax, afther that the next wave will start, the waves will get harder because of more zombies and new zombie types.


of course we also need to think about how the waves themselves will play out, so that the players keep engaged at all times. we where thinking of a three act structure, the firs act  will have a lot of zombies in a short time but still very doable, it will serve as a warm up of the wave, the next act will last longer and have a steady stream of zombies, the real chalange comes in 3 act where there will be even more sombies in a short time and here wil new types of enemies be introdused, these new enemies will then appear in all acts in the next waves


We added the fence mechanic fences will be placed by first activating the fence validation square. the square will visualize if the chosen space for a fence is valid or not.


Fences will be bought from the shop and will have a limited supply so use them wisely.


We started rigging out character out, here are the results:

We will not end up using this rig as we found a better way to rig our models in seconds and animate them using Mixamo. This will save us a ton of time and make it much easier to add several characters to our game.

We've got the animation files ready and the skeleton to import into our game.

We're hoping to add our character model to the game next week!
